Tradescantia spathacea Dwarf Rhoeo is a compact, colourful ground cover producing striking rosettes of dark green leaves with vivid purple undersides. An excellent low-maintenance ground cover for subtropical gardens, garden borders, and container planting.
Specifier notes. Used as a low ground-cover layer where coverage rate and root mass take priority over height.
Site & establishment. Subtropical performer — best growth in warm, humid summers with regular rainfall. Compact habit reduces pruning frequency and keeps the line tidy with minimal intervention. Colour interest extends its role beyond pure structure.
